Patients in Kenya can email their medical records to Heart Valve Experts (HVE) to request a specialist second opinion. Start with your latest reports and the treatment recommendation you would like reviewed.
The initial opinion may help identify further information needed and whether travelling for assessment would be useful. Final treatment suitability may require an examination, updated imaging and other investigations in Mumbai.
International Patients
Ask your cardiologist or hospital in Kenya for a short summary of your diagnosis, symptoms, current treatment and reason for recommending a valve procedure. Include previous heart operations and any recent hospital admissions.
Explain what you hope the second opinion will answer. You might want to compare surgery with a catheter-based procedure, understand the urgency of treatment or find out which investigations are still needed.
Keep your treating doctor informed while the review is being arranged. Continue prescribed care, and seek local assessment if your symptoms change.

Ask the hospital or imaging centre in Kenya for a complete digital copy of the scan. Keep the original files. Photographs of reports or selected screenshots do not replace the original scan images.

Medical Visa
The High Commission of India in Nairobi states that Kenyan nationals are eligible for both electronic and regular/paper visas. Check the appropriate medical category and application requirements before applying.
For the regular Medical/Medical Attendant Visa route, the published requirements include a local hospital or doctor referral, an invitation from an approved Indian hospital or recognised doctor, evidence of sufficient funds and attendant relationship documents where applicable.
